What's changed in PINGO, from launch to the newest update.

  1. August 15, 2026

    Regenerate an address, and a heads-up on new devices

    • Think someone else has your address? Regenerate it for a fresh one instantly. Paid status and mute rules carry over; everything else connected is cut off for good. Your own devices rejoin by scanning the new QR code, and you'll need to repoint your inbox's forwarding rule.
    • Connecting a different Telegram to an address that already has one now needs approval from a device or Telegram you already have connected, rather than switching over right away.
    • You'll also hear about it when a new device starts getting push notifications for one of your addresses.
    • Devices now look after themselves: each removes only itself, so the connected-devices list shows what's connected rather than manages it. It also updates live, so a phone you've just scanned appears straight away.
    • Telegram now names the account it's connected to, not just "Connected". Disconnect it from the device that connected it, or from Telegram itself by sending /disconnect to the bot.
    • Adding an existing address now has its own button in the header, next to Share. Type it or scan its QR code, same as before, just no longer buried at the bottom.

    Mute the mail you don't need pinging about

    • Newsletters and receipts can now arrive silently. Add a mute rule for a sender or a subject word under Push notifications, and matching mail still reaches your inbox as normal, it just doesn't notify you.
    • Muted mail doesn't use up your monthly notifications either, so on the free plan the ones you do spend go to mail you actually care about.
    • A forwarding confirmation is never muted, whatever your rules say - that's the one email that has to get through for an address to work at all.
    • PINGO now tells you when an address has gone quiet for much longer than it normally does, so a forwarding rule that quietly got switched off doesn't just look like a slow week.

    Multiple inboxes, one address

    • One address can now point at more than one inbox's login page. Tapping a notification opens the right one automatically, matched to where that email arrived. The in-app Open inbox button still asks, since it has no specific email to go by.
    • Push and Telegram notifications now show which address a ping belongs to (if you've named it), not just who the email is from - handy once you have more than one.
    • Renaming an address is now a single tap, right on the page.

    Richer Telegram messages, a scrubbable chart

    • Telegram's full-content relay now keeps real formatting (bold, italic, quoted text) and includes images and file attachments, not just plain text.
    • The per-address activity chart can now be scrubbed with a press-and-drag, to see the exact count for any day.

    Telegram notifications

    • Added Telegram as a second way to get notified, alongside push - connect it once and every new email pings your Telegram chat too.
    • An optional full-content mode relays the whole email, not just the sender and subject.
    • Push and Telegram can now be turned on or off independently, for anyone who prefers one over the other.

    Notification actions, and working offline

    • Notifications gained real action buttons, and every device connected to an address can now be seen from the app.
    • Added a custom login page per address, so tapping a notification can go straight to your real inbox instead of opening PINGO first.
    • Added graceful offline handling: a branded page instead of a browser error if you open PINGO with no connection, and a banner letting you know when you're seeing cached data mid-session.
